My fitness journey started 20 years ago as a client desperately seeking help to lose weight, eat healthy, and change my lifestyle of living, which consisted of smoking and unhealthy eating which almost cost me my life.
5 years into the fitness industry I continued to smoke while exercising, taking birth control pills, and synthetic caffeine pills which eventually caused blood clots in both lungs causing breathing to be very difficult. The doctors stated the only reason I am still alive is the fact I strengthened my lungs enough through exercise in spite of the fact I smoked!! That was a true wakeup call that GOD had other plans for me.
I finally took this God given gift seriously and established a routine and became fully committed to changing my unhealthy behaviors.
I fell in love with the outcome of what exercising and healthy nutrition did for me physically and mentally and knew then this was my true calling, my purpose, to help others change their lifestyle for the better through exercise, nutrition, and counseling.
I have found so much joy in using fitness to help people, especially women learn to love themselves, starting from the inside and working our way to the outside.
I personally MOVE 5-6 days a week and instruct a variety of classes as well as personal training (including onsite/ at home training) 7 days a week, checkout my workouts and upcoming class schedule for 2022.
Through the grace of God I managed to obtain my BS in Health and Wellness, as well as my Master of Healthcare Administration in order to continually grow my business. I enjoy and stay current with the rapid growth and trends of the fitness industry, as a 53 year old my state of mind is to keep MOVING and challenge myself at all times!
My philosophy is because age is nothing but a number, you are as young or as old as you allow yourself to feel!
